I’m originally from New Zealand and grew up in Hong Kong. I have worked in both countries as a Speech-Language Therapist/Pathologist in a number of different roles. I am currently a lecturer in Massey University’s Speech-Language Therapy programme.
In 2022, I completed my PhD at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, entitled “Dialect Change in ‘Returning’ Third Culture Kids”. I looked at accent features of children who grew up in the superdiverse environments of Hong Kong and Singapore and followed the accent changes after they moved to New Zealand.
I am now combining my interest in Third Culture Kids and Cross Cultural Kids with Speech-Language Therapy and am working on a few projects in line with this. I will update the relevent pages here as I make progress.
